Vietnamese Smoking Statistics

The Vietnam Public Health Association has published figures showing that 56% of Vietnamese men, those aged over 18, are smokers.

The figures released this week show that only 1.8% of Vietnamese women smoke.

The Vietnam Public Health Association also claimed that 40,000 Vietnamese people die each year from smoking related illnesses, four times the number of fatalities from traffic accidents.
