Without a doubt the most well known brand of Vietnamese coffee or chain of Vietnamese coffee shops is Trung Nguyen. While many, including myself, would argue that it is not the best coffee available in Vietnam, few would disagree that a Trung Nguyen Cafe is worth a visit.
There a couple of Trung Cafes in Danang, the largest being on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, another nice garden cafe is on 43 Ho Xuan Huong Street. Trung Nguyen Cafe for me is a reliable place where you know what you will get, it doesn’t try to be too fancy. The decor is simple and the prices are reasonable. Both of the cafes mentioned here are set in nice gardens and all seating areas are under cover so don’t be discouraged even if it is raining.
For something different you might like to try Trung Nguyen’s Legendee coffee. Legendee is a synthetically produced version of Weasel Coffee, weasel coffee is produced using coffee beans which have been regurgitated by wild weasels, the distinct flavor is considered a delicacy among coffee aficionados. Genuine weasel coffee can be very expensive, the synthetic version, Legendee, is more affordable and a very decent coffee in my opinion.
