Thanksgiving In Danang

One of the negative aspects of being an expat in Vietnam is that some the traditional holidays that we enjoy celebrating back home with friends and family are often not even known about here in Vietnam. Thanksgiving which is a favorite day of celebration for Americans falls on November 26th this year and there will be a small gathering of expats, Americans and non-Americans more to enjoy the food than to celebrate the original origins of this holiday.

Bread of Life Eatery will once again put on a set thanksgiving lunch and dinner with all the expected trimmings that go with such a feast. I enjoyed last year’s dinner so much and will definitely be there again for another wonderful meal with a good a group of people amid such a happy atmosphere.

On Thanksgiving Day (26th November, 2009) the restaurant will only be serving the Thanksgiving set meal, burgers and pizzas won’t be available. I will update this post with exact opening and closing times as soon as they become available.

TIP: Based on last year’s big turnout, I would recommend eating at non-peak times. This will ensure you get food quickly and also make the restaurant feel less cramped and uncomfortable. This tip also applies for the Christmas Dinners that will be served at Bread of Life on the 24th and 25th of December, I will provide more details of Christmas Dinner in Danang next week.
