Tam’s Pub & Surf Shop Has Moved!

Tam’s Pub and Surf Shop, that venerable DaNang institution, has moved to a new location closer to the beach. Her new address is 38 An Thuong 5, My An, DaNang. It’s right near the Long Beach Coffee Bar and the Blue Ocean Hotel.

The restaurant is bigger and brighter than her old place, and provides a perfect location for swapping surf stories over a hamburger and beer at the end of the day.

The new menu has the same old favourites as well as some new treats that Tam has been working on. All the food is resonably priced and served with a good helping of Tam’s friendly personality.

The new location is on a quiet street that is free of the traffic and noise that the old place subjected customers to. It is also much closer to the beach for those who wish to stretch their legs, rather than having to take a motorbike, to go for a swim.

Tam still rents out surfboards and motorbikes, and will go out of her way to help people enjoy their time in DaNang. Her freshly painted walls have plenty of room for more photos of happy memories, so come have a visit and see what makes Tam’s Pub and Surf Shop so enjoyable. (Click Map To Enlarge)

Tam, thank you for the days of surf I got in Da Nang April 2011. I hadn’t surfed the place for 43 years, and it was good going back and scoring those waves. You make the best french fries ever. Take care of yourself and hope to see you again. Thanks for being there.

wots the best way to get to Da Nang from Vung Tau-train or boat in Jan 2012?

There is no Boat up the coast -pity. The best way is to go into HCMC and fly to Danang. You can take a sleeper bus, or train but flying is the best.
