Danang 2012I came across this image which is a mock up of what Danang is planning to look like in 2012. Of course this is assuming that all of the building projects currently underway remain on schedule.

Apparently visible in this image are new projects such as Golden Square, Meridian Tower, Lotus Plaza, ACB Tower, The New City Hall and VinaCapital Square. This image was taken from www.skyscrapercity.com forum, the forum was in Vietnamese so I’m not to sure what all the comments were about.

I think 2012 is a bit optimistic, 2022 is more realistic. Perhaps the Green Island Hotel, Town Hall, Dragon Bridge and Golden Square will be complete by the end of 2012, but not all of the other projects which don’t even look like they have been started.

How would you feel if Danang did look like this? What do you suppose would be the population of the city once all this development is complete? Would you want to live in Danang if it changed so dramatically?
