Great Italian ice cream is hard to find anywhere, so we are blessed to have Sa Sa Gelato in Danang. It is certainly the best and possibly the only decent ice cream available in this city. As you would expect it is owned and operated by an Italian.
Sa Sa’s is a large place on green Island with water views plus indoor and outdoor seating. The small island is a nice place to take a short walk before or after enjoying your ice cream. Everytime I go there the place is usually with Vietnamese.
There is a large selection of ice cream flavours available, and 1 scoop will cost less than a dollar. The menu includes many mouthwatering creations, sundaes, smoothies and banana splits.
Unfortunately this is the only place to enjoy good ice cream. Green Plaza’s cafe does serve decent ice cream but it is quite pricey and and the scoops are small.

I love this ice-cream place and have been there for two or three times. But the last time I checked, about 2 weeks ago, the place was closed down. It was about 9pm, so maybe they were just closed for the night, but it didn’t look like it was still operating. Can someone confirm if it’s still open?
Yes, it is still open. I was there a week ago. They do tend to close early if no customers.
