InDanang.com on Facebook?

by InDanang on November 17, 2009

InDanang on FacebookThis post was going to be all about the Facebook profile I was going to create for Indanang.com. I was going to let you know what information would be available and of course was going to ask you to add Indanang’s Facebook profile to your facebook page. Iwas hoping to have some good viral marketing and share the information available on Indanang.com with the Facebook community in Danang and Vietnam.

Instead this post will be about that fact that Facebook appears to be unavailable in Vietnam at the moment. I have not seen any coverage of this Facebook ban and haven’t come across any official explanation. Of course, most people would suspect that this hopefully temporary and hopefully short, shutdown of Facebook in Vietnam is due to censorship.

Thursday November 12th, was the first that I became aware of a problem accessing Facebook, and as of today, November 17th I still don’t have any access. Does anyone know how long it will last? Can you provide a link to any information about this Facebook issue?

When I regain access to my Facebook page and create a profile for InDanang.com I will let you know and do everything that I said I was going to do.

Hi, I ‘ve read about this issue a few days ago and they told that, because of some back facebook blogs that the Vietnamese live in Foreign Country maked, it will effect badly our social and against the Vietnam Government so they decided to tell the internet supplier in VN to ban facebook and no one can access it.
In my opinion, because Facebook is a foreign Social Network and very difficult to control so the Gov had to do that. On the contrary iIf there are some troubles with the blogs in Viet Nam Social Network, It’ll be easy for the Gov to discuss with the manager or director and the back blogs will be banned. :) Hope it ‘ll be useful for u.
