I am very happy to announce that Danang has a real Fish n Chip shop! Squid Lips Fish N Chips opened this week and I can personally tell you the food is great. Squid Lips is owned by an Australian chef who has trained Vietnamese staff to make the most authentic Aussie fish and chips outside of OZ.
I have tried the “Fisherman’s Wife’s Basket”, which includes chunky chips, fish, calamari and shrimp, all deep fried to perfection. The Chicken Schnitzel burger is also really good. Squid Lips has a good selection of burgers; beef, fish and chicken as well as typical Fish n Chip dishes of calamari and fish.

strangely i dont think of the Aussie when i hear Fish and Chips, i just think of the british haha
I guess Fish N Chips is British but it is very popular in OZ.
Not sure how the British and Aussie versions are different but the food at Squid Lips definitely reminds me of the fish and chips I grew up with. The burgers are good too.

Squid Lips is definitely worth checking out and the food court has lots of other options as well, Korean, Vietnamese and pizza.

I had heard rumours that an aussie fish and chips place was opening, with the waterfront doing parmas and the granny, its almost like home.
Hi Tony, Danang’s restaurant scene certainly is improving when it comes to western food but don’t forget how great Vietnamese food is.
