A huge stand which will be able to hold 26,000 people has been given approval by Danang authorities. The stand is being constructed for the 2010 Danang International Fireworks Festival which will be held in late March.

The stand used for last year’s festival could only accommodate 6,000 people. The festival has been gaining popularity since starting in 2007 and attracts tens of thousands of local and international visitors. Tickets for a seat in the new stand will cost about 300,000 VND.

Five teams will compete in the 2010 International Fireworks Festival which takes place along the Han River over two nights in late March.
