A few weeks ago I noticed a small night market set up out front of the old Bai Tho supermarket, across the road from the lake. I assumed it was small and only run on Saturday nights, I was wrong.
I have been to the market a couple of times now and it is definitely worth a visit, it is usually fully set up by 6pm and runs right around the supermarket complex, across the road in front of the park entrance and quite a way up Hung Vuong street. Le Duan also has some stalls selling on the side of the road near the Fahasa book store.
This is as you would expect a very Vietnamese market, foreigners are welcome but not a target of hassle or ridiculous overpricing. For me the best thing about this market is the atmosphere, it is a great place to people watch.
As with any place where Vietnamese people gather there are a number of food stalls which are an addition to the permanent street food sellers which call this corner home. The market seems to run every night but I imagine that Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights would be the liveliest.

When I was a student, I used to go to Hoa Khanh night market.
Clothes ang shoes seemed to be cheaper than ones at Danang Center.
