In Danang

My aims for the website are unchanged and I still think Danang is a fantastic place. In the 8 months since I wrote this article Danang has changed quite a bit and I look forward to the many changes that will follow. I also dread some of the changes that are looming.

Danang is Vietnam’s third largest city and in my opinion it is Vietnam’s best city to live in.. I’ve created this site to show other people how enjoyable Danang is and to make it easier for those who have to decided to live in or even visit Danang.

While I think that Danang is a great place to live in I will admit that it doesn’t have much to draw in tourists, and to be honest, the lack of tourists is one of the reasons I am attracted to Danang. Danang is not a tacky tourist town where you are hassled constantly by thousands of people who make their living selling overpriced crap to people who are usually happy buying overpriced crap and bragging about how cheap it is.

Other factors that make Danang great, 30kms of beautiful beaches, mountains only 30 minutes away by motorbike through spectacular scenery, Hoi An just down the road and the lovely ancient capital of Hue just a couple of hours away. To get out of Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi you need to plan a weekend, Danang doesn’t feel like a big bustling city and it only takes minutes to get to an empty beach or out in the countryside.
