Thursday Evening, pleasant night, thought I would jump on the Honda SH and go and visit the New Crown Casino ….. arrived around 10pm, took a lot of hand waving to find out where to park the bike, finally found a spot (mind you in the carpark there was only 1 car and my bike!!! ). Met with very pleasant smiles at the enterance, although looking through the windows, didn’t appear to be anyone inside playing …. made it to the Security Enterance to the Casino, where I was met with Airport type Security Machines and asked to show my Passport … well, I know that I would love to have a Residents Permit and I know that I have lived here now for over 12 months, but I didn’t think I looked VIETNAMESE !!!!! No Way were they going to let a Foreigner, White, Caucasion, Australian, not Asian into the Casino without the Passport …. I have visited many other so called Casinos throughout Vietnam without having to produce my Passport. So unfortunately, what little money I would have used in the Casino and on a cold beer stayed in my pocket !!!!! Word of Warning ….. if you intend to visit the Casino, TAKE YOUR PASSPORT !!!!
